Chlorine Dosing Pump Service

Short answer: Chlorine dosing pump service covers installing and commissioning the pump, periodic maintenance, capacity and sensor calibration, fault repair and replacing wear parts with original spare parts. As the official distributor of AnTech in Türkiye, AQUABELLA provides service support for Nova, Lara, Optima and Nano series pumps. To submit a request, enter your pump model, the chemical you use and the problem in the service request form on our contact page, or contact us on +9+90 216 606 44 72 / WhatsApp +9+90 532 542 81 24.

A well-installed chlorine dosing pump works reliably for a long time. Even so, wetted parts wear over time, sodium hypochlorite leaves crystals, and on measurement-controlled models the electrode readings drift. On this page you will find the work covered by our service, the information we need with a request, and which AnTech series we support. Each service is described in detail on its own page.

What Work Does Chlorine Dosing Pump Service Involve?

Service consists of five main tasks: installation and commissioning, periodic maintenance, calibration, repair and spare part replacement. Most requests involve several of these together. For example, during a repair a crystallised check valve is replaced, after which the pump’s actual flow rate is measured and the capacity calibration is renewed.

Installation and commissioning

For a new pump, the mounting location is chosen, the suction and discharge lines are connected, the injection point is prepared, air is bled and the pump is started with an initial setting. On measurement-controlled models, the electrode or sensor is installed and calibrated. Installing a simple model without level control, such as the AnTech Lara A 5 L/h 7 Bar Analogue Dosing Pump, is not the same as installing a pump with free chlorine measurement; the latter also involves the sensor housing, flow and calibration. All the steps are on our dosing pump installation page.

Periodic maintenance

During maintenance the foot filter, check valves, head area, hoses, seals and connections are checked; crystals are cleaned off, worn parts are replaced and the flow rate is measured. On measurement-controlled systems, electrode cleaning, calibration and alarm tests are also part of maintenance. Details are on our dosing pump maintenance service page.

Calibration and sensors

There are two types of calibration. Capacity calibration matches the amount the pump actually delivers to the value on the display; this function is available in the menu of the Nova D, Nova DMPR and Nova DMİA models. Sensor calibration keeps pH, ORP or free chlorine measurement accurate. The AnTech Lara PR 5 L/h 7 Bar performs digital calibration with buffer solutions; the AnTech Nova DMİA 10 L/h 10 Bar works with a free chlorine sensor and is calibrated against a reference measurement. Details are on our AnTech dosing pump calibration page.

Repair

If the pump is stroking but not delivering, the flow rate has dropped, there is a leak, it is showing an alarm or it will not switch on at all, the cause of the fault is traced and fixed. Common causes include air entering the suction line, crystals building up in the check valves, and line pressure approaching the pump’s limit. The symptom table and the repair-or-replace decision are on our dosing pump repair page.

Spare part replacement

The suction and discharge assemblies, check valve set, head assembly, hose kit and suction assembly with level sensor are parts that need replacing over time; on mechanical diaphragm pumps the diaphragm is also on this list. The right part is chosen according to the pump’s series and capacity. The model compatibility table is on our dosing pump part replacement page.

Which Service Do You Need in Which Situation?

The service you need depends on what you are seeing with your pump. The table below matches common situations to the relevant service.

Situation Suitable service Why
You have bought a new pump; the line and tank are ready Installation and commissioning Correct mounting, air bleeding and initial setting
The pump is working but has not been checked for a long time Periodic maintenance Crystals and wear are caught before dosing drops
The flow rate on the display does not match daily chemical consumption Capacity calibration Flow rate changes with back pressure
The pH, ORP or chlorine value does not match the test kit Sensor calibration Electrode and sensor readings drift over time
The pump is stroking but not delivering, showing an alarm or will not switch on Repair The cause of the fault is found and fixed
Leak, cracked or hardened hose, broken connection Spare part replacement The worn part is replaced with an original

What Information Should You Share in a Service Request?

In your first message, the pump model, the chemical you use and the symptoms of the problem are enough to get started. The details below help us assess the situation more accurately.

  1. Model and label: A legible photo of the label on the pump. AnTech model names show the series, type and capacity together; for example, “DP NOVA D 10L/10B” is a Nova D pump rated at 10 litres per hour and 10 bar.
  2. Chemical: The type of chemical (sodium hypochlorite, acid, pH increaser, etc.) and its concentration, if known. Part materials and the risk of crystallisation are assessed accordingly.
  3. Flow rate and setting: The pump’s current setting and operating mode, daily chemical consumption, the flow rate of the line being chlorinated (m³/h) and the target chlorine value.
  4. Line pressure: The pressure at the injection point. The flow rate of electromagnetic pumps depends on back pressure; according to catalogue values, the AnTech Nova D 10 L/h 10 Bar Digital Dosing Pump delivers 10 L/h at 10 bar and 20 L/h at 2 bar.
  5. Symptoms of the problem: How long the problem has been going on, whether it is constant or intermittent, any alarm or message on the display, and what has been tried so far.
  6. Photos and video: An overall view of the pump, suction assembly, tank and injection point, and a short video taken while the pump is running. The stroke sound, air bubbles in the suction hose and the leak point can often be seen in a video.
  7. For measurement-controlled models: The electrode or sensor used, the date of the last calibration and the value you measured with a test kit.

How Does the Service Process Work?

The process starts when you send your request: you tell us the pump model and the problem, and we review the information and get in touch with you.

  1. Send your request via the form on the contact page, by phone (+9+90 216 606 44 72) or on WhatsApp (+9+90 532 542 81 24).
  2. Share the model, chemical, symptoms and photos.
  3. We review the information; if anything is missing, we ask you.
  4. We contact you and agree together on the work and parts required.

Some problems can be solved with a simple check in the first exchange of messages: an empty tank, a loose suction hose or a head that needs bleeding. Describing the symptoms and the installation in as much detail as possible therefore shortens the job.

Why Do Original AnTech Spare Parts Matter?

Original parts allow the pump to maintain the flow and pressure values given in the catalogue. AnTech parts are specific to capacity; the suction, discharge and head assemblies can differ between capacities within the same series. For example, in the Nova series the 3.5 and 10 L/h models use 4×6 mm suction and 4×7 mm discharge connections, while on the 25 L/h model both sides are 9×12 mm. Head assemblies are also divided by capacity into 40, 50 and 70 sizes.

Material matters too. On the standard models in the catalogue, the O-rings are Viton; EPDM and Teflon options are also available. A seal that is not compatible with the chemical can swell, harden or leak. As the official distributor, we match parts to the pump’s model name and capacity. Details on part selection are on our spare part replacement page.

What Can You Check Before Calling for Service?

Some problems can be fixed with a few simple checks. Wear gloves and safety goggles while checking; before working on the head or hoses, disconnect the pump’s power and relieve the pressure in the discharge line.

  • Is there enough liquid in the chemical tank, and is the suction assembly submerged?
  • Is the pump plugged in and the fuse on? On models with a display, is an alarm message shown?
  • Has the suction hose connection come loose, or is the hose kinked or crushed?
  • Has sediment built up in the foot filter?
  • If the pump is running for the first time or after a long shutdown, has the air been bled?
  • On a pump running in proportional mode with a water meter, is a signal coming from the meter? If no water is flowing in the line, the pump will not stroke either.

For regular checks you can do yourself, see our chlorine dosing pump maintenance guide. If the problem persists, write to us.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does chlorine dosing pump service cover?

It covers installation and commissioning, periodic maintenance, capacity and sensor calibration, fault repair and spare part replacement. Several of these can be done together in one request; for example, the flow rate is recalibrated after a part replacement.

Which pumps do you service?

We provide service support for AnTech's Nova, Lara, Optima and Nano series electromagnetic dosing pumps. You can also write to us about EMD and Aspendose pumps. If you have a pump of a different brand, send us its model and we will tell you whether we can help.

How can I submit a service request?

You can fill in the service request form on our contact page, call +9+90 216 606 44 72 or message +9+90 532 542 81 24 on WhatsApp. If you include a photo of the pump's label, the chemical and the problem in your message, we will get in touch with you.

My pump is running but not delivering chemical. Should I call for service?

First check the tank, the suction connections and the foot filter, then bleed the air. If that does not solve the problem, the cause may be crystals in the check valves or hypochlorite gas trapped in the head. In that case, write to us with a short video.

How often should periodic maintenance be carried out?

There is no single interval that applies to every installation. The maintenance interval depends on the type and concentration of the chemical, how many hours a day the pump runs, the ambient temperature and whether measurement equipment is fitted. At the first maintenance visit, we look at the condition of the parts and agree on a suitable interval with you.

Do you also calibrate the electrodes and sensors of measurement-controlled pumps?

Yes. On the Nova DMPR and Lara PR the pH/ORP electrode is calibrated with buffer solutions, and on the Nova DMİA the free chlorine sensor is calibrated against a reference measurement made with the DPD method. Sensor calibration can also be done together with capacity calibration.

How can I send a spare parts request?

Send us a photo of the pump's label, a photo of the part that needs replacing and the chemical you use. We will match the part to the pump's series and capacity and get back to you.
